RepDB — Standard License (v1.2)

This license covers the RepDB exercise dataset (JSON, SQLite, SQL dump) and associated WebP image assets distributed in the Standard-tier archive.

Applicability

This version (v1.2) applies to orders placed through a checkout that referenced License v1.2; the accepted version is recorded with the order. Orders placed under an earlier version remain governed by that version and by any update entitlement stated when they were placed.

Licensee

The license is granted to the person or company named in the Lemon Squeezy order confirmation (the “licensee”) and is non-transferable. If the order names a company, the company is the licensee. Keep your order confirmation; the public order number is your license reference.

• Employees and contractors of the licensee may work with the assets inside the licensee’s products; contractors act on the licensee’s behalf and acquire no rights of their own.
• Subsidiaries and affiliates are separate licensees and are not covered — they need their own license, or contact us about Enterprise.
• On a change of control or universal legal succession of the licensee, the license continues with the licensee. On a sale of an individual product or of assets, the license does not transfer automatically: the acquirer purchases its own license or obtains RepDB’s written consent.

Tier scope

Standard — commercial use in as many of the licensee’s own products as you like. No revenue cap.

A product is “your own” when it is owned or controlled and operated by the licensee and offered under the licensee’s brand. A multi-tenant service you operate under your own brand counts as your own product regardless of the number of customers. White-label builds, client projects, and deliveries under a third party’s brand are not covered — contact us about Enterprise.

What you can do

• Use the dataset and images inside your own commercial products (web, mobile, desktop), at any revenue.
• Modify the JSON/SQL data for your use case.
• Resize, crop, compress, or colour-adjust the images for use in your products (AI-based restyling remains prohibited — see below).
• Ship images as part of your app bundles / web pages, and serve individual images and records to your product’s clients in the ordinary operation of the product.

What you cannot do

• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the raw dataset or raw images as a dataset / asset pack.
• Make the raw dataset or the image catalog available in bulk — for example a publicly accessible archive of the bundle, an open storage bucket containing the catalog, a bulk-download endpoint, or a product that in effect acts as a proxy for downloading the dataset. (Serving individual images or records to your product’s users is expressly fine.)
• Train machine-learning models that reproduce the dataset or substitute for it, whether offered commercially or for free. (Using the data to power features of your own product — search, recommendations, embeddings — is fine.)
• Use the images as input, reference, or conditioning material for generative models — image-to-image restyling, style transfer, or fine-tuning — the artwork ships in its two styles; custom styles are an Enterprise service.

Attribution (request, not a condition)

A credit line in source code or docs that reference the dataset — e.g. // Data: RepDB — is appreciated and helps the project, but is not required.

Identification on request

On RepDB’s reasonable request, the licensee will state the public Lemon Squeezy order number (or other license reference we issued) for a product that uses the dataset. Never share the order UUID from your download link — it is a private download credential.

Term and termination

The license runs indefinitely for the purchased version. It ends if the purchase is refunded. If the licensee materially breaches this license and does not cure the breach within 30 days of written notice, the license terminates. In case of willful redistribution or sublicensing of the raw dataset or raw images, termination is immediate without a cure period. After termination the licensee must stop distributing new copies of products containing the assets, cease using the assets in hosted services, and delete the raw dataset and image files within 30 days. Copies already installed by end users are unaffected and need not be recalled.

Warranty & liability

The dataset is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by applicable law, RepDB’s liability for damages arising from use of the data is excluded. This exclusion does not apply to liability for injury to life, body or health, to intent or gross negligence, to claims under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz), or to any other liability that cannot legally be excluded. Exercise content is informational and not medical advice; consult a physician before starting any exercise program. Users perform exercises at their own risk.

Origin of the data

The dataset was compiled independently by RepDB. All images are original works generated with AI tooling commissioned by RepDB — not copied or derived from any third-party exercise dataset or image library. The dataset’s structure and selection are protected as a database (sui generis database right, §§ 87a ff. UrhG) independently of the copyright status of individual images.

Governing law

This license is governed by German law. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence remain unaffected.
